Arriva Trains Wales Class 50 Hauled Trains in South Wales

Arriva Trains Wales are operating Class 50 hauled trains from Cardiff Central using "50031" Hood or 50049 "Defiance".

A summer Saturday service operates to Fishguard Harbour and return to Cardiff Central. This started on 17th June and runs every Saturday until 9th September. Trains are formed of 4 Arriva Trains Mk 2 air-conditioned coaches.

A weekday service starts on Monday 24th July and runs until Friday 8th September.

Other special trains and railtours are also planned by Arriva Trains Wales using class 50 traction.

50049 "Defiance" at Fishguard Harbour with the 10.55 from Cardiff Central. 50049 is owned by Project Defiance and is on hire to Arriva Trains Wales, based at Cardiff Canton TMD over the summer. 15.07.06
